Indonesia has launched ghosts to scare off people who are not following the guidelines of the lockdown in light of coronavirus outbreaks. A village name KEPU in Jawa Islands of Indonesia followed this route to create fear in the minds of the people. A group of young volunteers from the village decided to make such an effort as they realized that the instructions were not being followed.

They used the ghost form of the Pokong statue described in Indonesian folklore to create fear in the minds of the people. A group of young volunteers from the village arrived as Ghost with the help of the police in the night. The ghosts appear in front of the crowd and which will create a fear factor in that region. In the early days of this activity, people came out to see the Ghost created a slight crisis but later on everything fall in place.

The activity took time to get the response and later on everything worked as expected told by Youth Volunteer Organization chief Anjar Panchanyangas to IANS.

As on date around 4800 COVID-19 cases reported in Indonesia and around 489 deaths reported so far in the country. Every country is trying various ways to restrict people from gathering and initiate Social Distancing in all the ways possible. Educating activities and other related activities are widely done by the governments will the support of volunteering organisations.
